Yacht expedition cruise line, Atlas Ocean Voyages, has appointed Andrew Mevissen’s Australian PR agency, Peak Media Relations, to promote its exploration journeys around the world.

Peak Media Relations director, Andrew Mevissen, said his agency would create local news content for Atlas Ocean Voyages and help elevate brand awareness across Australia through consumer and trade media.

“Peak Media Relations has worked successfully for many years in the cruise sector and we are delighted to be onboard now with Atlas Ocean Voyages to communicate their premium, market-leading product to the Australian market in partnership with Cruise Traveller,” Mevissen said.

Peak Media Relations director, Andrew Mevissen.

“Atlas Ocean Voyages is a fresh, new brand and through our work with media in Australia, we plan to broadcast the bold, intimate and in-depth experiences and adventures Atlas offers in special places around the world,” he said. “The small ship cruise market is expanding rapidly and we’re thrilled to be part of this exciting growth through innovative players in this field such as Atlas Ocean Voyages and also Cruise Traveller, which we have represented since 2020.”

Formed in 2019 and based in the US, Atlas Ocean Voyages is a rapidly growing company offering year-round, five-star polar exploration journeys to wild and remote destinations in Antarctica and the Arctic as well as cultural and epicurean adventures in Europe.

The award-winning company has quickly established itself as a leader in luxury, boutique-ship expedition cruises, drawing discerning, inquisitive and spirited explorers on authentic, all-inclusive adventures to pristine, almost out of reach destinations which larger ships cannot access.

“Like our company, Peak Media Relations is a boutique, personal, bespoke agency experienced in cruising and well placed to help promote our exceptional yachting expeditions to the Australian market which is now a key focus for us,” Atlas Ocean Voyages President and CEO, James Rodriguez, said.

“We look forward to working with Peak Media Relations and leveraging its PR expertise so more spirited Australians can enjoy our enriching explorations to some of the world’s most spectacular locations.”

Atlas Ocean Voyages is represented in Australia by small ship cruising specialist, Cruise Traveller, which also contracts Peak Media Relations for its public relations support.

Formed in 2007, Peak Media Relations is a boutique public relations and communications agency specialising in cruising, travel and tourism. The agency is headed by seasoned journalist, Andrew Mevissen, who brings to the role decades of experience in the travel, media and communications industries.
