Calling all travel agents! Singapore Tourism is heading Down Under for its latest trade roadshow.

The ‘Find your Tribe’ Singapore Tourism Trade Roadshow 2019 is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect occasion for all travel professionals to brush-up on their knowledge of the Lion City.

Arriving on Australian shores in August, the Find your Tribe Roadshow and its theme – #PassionMadePossible – let’s travel agents explore their Singaporean passions by identifying with a tourism ‘tribe’.

Are you a foodie, socialiser, culture shaper or explorer?

In the lead-up to the event, Travel Weekly will be taking you through Singapore Tourism’s four travel ‘tribes’. First up was the foodies – now it’s time for the culture shapers.

Agents, take note: Whether you’re interested in learning about the history and religion of the Lion City, or showcasing the craft, design and street art of Singapore’s contemporary culture, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to selling Singaporean society.

Singapore’s ethnic makeup comprises Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian and Peranakan (Straits-born people of Chinese and Malay/Indonesian heritage) communities, and each of these societies are celebrated in equal part across the country, in a unity of diversity.

Hit the streets or stroll through the halls of a gallery; explore Little India, Chinatown, Joo Chiat/Katong and Kampong Glam; take a tour of heritage or explore the Lion City’s places of worship and you’ll find five nations worth of experiences in the space of a cityscape.

The country aims to showcase its diversity and unity, this year, in a celebration of institutions like the ArtScience, Fuk Tak Chi and Red Dot Design museums; as well as places of worship like Sri Mariamman Temple and Sultan Mosque, among others.

The ‘Find your Tribe’ Singapore Tourism Trade Roadshow 2019 will be hosted in Sydney on Monday 26 August, in Brisbane on Wednesday 28 August, and in Melbourne on Friday 30 August.
