Aussie advisors return from Globus incentive trip

Helloworld and Helloworld affiliated travel advisors from across Australia who were winners of a 2024 Globus incentive have returned from an 8-day famil in Turkey.

The tour forms part of Globus’s off-season Escapes program which showcases all the key sights at special shoulder season prices, minus the summer crowds. The group visited in spring, getting in ahead of the upcoming busy summer tourist season.

Globus business development manager VIC/Southeast Josh Galea, alongside Janeene Lewis, Helloworld’s franchise operations manager, hosted 11 top performing advisors on the famil. Josh said one of the standout experiences was visiting the Roman archaeological site Ephesus and having the spectacular ancient Greek city ruins relatively to themselves, compared to warmer months when tourists flock there in droves.

“Not only did we not have to jostle with other travellers for prime viewing spots or photo ops, lack of crowds and mild weather also made for a very relaxing morning being able to comfortably wander through the ruins and really immerse ourselves,” Galea said.

“It was also great to explore the truly amazing UNESCO World Heritage Centre Hierapolis-Pamukkale with its thermal pools that flow down white travertine terraces, mineral forests, museum and ancient ruins, without the intense summer heat.”

The group flew with Turkish Airlines and enjoyed pre-flight hospitality in the plush Turkish Airlines Lounge in Istanbul on their return flight to Australia.
