Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has introduced a new Southeast Asia module to its online training program, designed to help member agents capitalise on the spike in regional cruise capacity.
CLIA figures show that passenger capacity in Asia is growing at 20% annually with cruise passengers in the region expected to have broken the two million mark last year.
As a result, CLIA Australasia commercial director Brett Jardine said it was the “perfect time” for the new elective to be added to CLIA’s online learning academy.
“The new Asia elective covers 38 ports in 13 countries across Southeast Asia and the subcontinent with a focus on sales, service and turnaround ports to better assist agents in selling cruises in the booming region,” he said.
