Immersive small-ship cruise line, Azamara Cruises, is returning to Australia and New Zealand with two ships following a highly successful 2023-24 season Down Under.
Azamara Pursuit will dock in Fremantle on 18 December, after a nine-night cruise from Singapore, and sets sail on a 14-night voyage around Western Australia and South Australia on 20 December. Guests will celebrate Christmas at sea and dock overnight in Sydney for the city’s always spectacular New Year’s revels.
In January and February 2025, Azamara Pursuit will sail two more country-intensive voyages between Australia and New Zealand – 14- and 18-night itineraries that visit 13 ports – and a 14-night cruise from Sydney to Fremantle. Two new shore excursions, Oysters in Eden and a Rickshaw Tour of Freemantle, have been added to the line-up.

The ship departs from Fremantle and heads to Asia on an 18-night journey that includes port calls in Queensland and Bali before reaching Singapore. After sailing in Asia in March, she will make her way back to Europe for the northern summer.
Meanwhile, Azamara Onward – the fleet’s latest ship at 352 cabins – makes her second voyage to Australia and New Zealand, arriving in Auckland on 15 February 15, 2025, on her world cruise. Over 15 nights, Azamara Onward will visit seven destinations in New Zealand and call on ports Hobart and Eden on her way to Sydney. On February 20, the ship embarks on a 22-night voyage from Sydney to Singapore, via Victoria, South Australia and Western Australian ports.
Among the highlights of every itinerary are Azamara’s AzAmazing Evenings where guests are treated to a unique and memorable local event. Azamara Pursuit guests have a treat in store in Adelaide: an exclusive concert by operatic pop tenor Mark Vincent at Adelaide Town Hall.
A highlight of this season’s local sailings is the sisters’ grand entrance into Sydney Harbour together on 20 February, 2025.
