The G20 is being held in Nusa Dua, Bali with some restrictions and disruptions expected in certain areas from 12 – 18 November, according to Smartraveller.

Bali’s regional government has placed restrictions on community mobility at offices, schools, and campuses across Badung district and Denpasar city, with workers encouraged to work from home during the summit.

Travellers are advised to check with their hotel to see if restrictions or disruptions will affect their stay and to leave plenty of time when travelling to or from the airport.

There will also be restrictions on operation hours for regular flights in the Bali International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai as well as restrictions on aircraft ground time, on the 14 November 2022 and 17 November 2022.

The 17th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will be attended by 19 countries including South Africa, the US, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, the UK, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Russia, France, China, and Turkey.

State leaders attending the summit will not only hold meetings in the Nusa Dua area, Badung district, but they are also scheduled to visit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park in Badung district as well as the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest in Denpasar city.
