Evolution Travel Collective (ETC) has today announced that co-founder Ingrid Berthelsen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, formalising a leadership structure that reflects the way the business has naturally evolved over time.
Fellow co-founder Pete Rawley will continue to play a key role within the business, supporting partner growth, industry engagement and ETC’s growing consultancy offering.
Rawley said the decision reinforces the strengths each founder brings to ETC. “As ETC has grown, Ingrid has increasingly taken on the overarching leadership responsibilities that align with a CEO role – from commercial oversight to partner management and the strategic direction of the business. This step recognises the role she has already been fulfilling, and it positions the business strongly for the future.
“ETC was built on adaptability, innovation and keeping close to our partners’ needs,” he added.
“With our expanded services, including the recent introduction of our National Account Manager (NAM) offering, ensuring clear leadership alignment is important as we continue to evolve. I will remain actively involved in supporting our partners, our BDM team and the consultancy opportunities that are driving ETC’s expansion.”
Berthelsen said she is excited to move into the CEO role as ETC enters its next phase of growth.
“ETC has grown significantly over the past eight years, and we are proud of the reputation we’ve built for strong industry relationships and high-quality service,” she said. “Formalising the new leadership structure allows us to keep scaling with confidence and clarity. Pete and I founded ETC together, and our shared commitment to our partners and team remains unchanged.
“Our multi-BDM representation model, Trade PR services and NAM offering give partners more choice than ever. With our experienced team and Pete and I continuing to work closely together, we remain focused on delivering commercial results and supporting the success of our partners across Australia and New Zealand.”
