Air Vanuatu announces additional NZ flights

Vanuatu is back open for business with works completed at Port Vila International airport and the national carrier announcing additional flights from Auckland.

“Due to strong demand Air Vanuatu will be adding a fourth weekly flight from Auckland to Port Vila,” chief executive officer Joseph Laloyer said.

The airline has also increased flights from Sydney and Brisbane and is seeing solid forward bookings.

“The Vanuatu Tourism Office has launched a new campaign to encourage Kiwis to ‘discover what matters’ in Vanuatu. It showcases what’s great about Vanuatu and what matters most,” Mr. Laloyer said.

Domestic routes included in Visit Argentina 2016 Program. Minimum: 3 (three) flight coupons. Maximum: 12 (twelve) flight coupons between. Once issued the purchase of additional coupons is not allowed (even if maximum of 12 coupons has not been reached).

Solomon Airlines, Air Nuigini and Air Vanuatu tripartite

Effective 01 July 2016, Solomon Airlines, Air Niugini and Air Vanuatu will commence operation of a long awaited codeshare service linking all three destinations.

The new service will operate from Port Moresby to Honiara on Fridays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Ex-Honiara the codeshare service will operate from Honiara to Port Moresby on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The codeshare also extends to a weekly Honiara-Port Vila-Honiara service into Bauerfield International Airport, Port Vila, operating ex-Honiara on Tuesdays and returning to Honiara on Wednesdays.

 

Air New Zealand scoops Airline of the Year awards

Air New Zealand has been named both International Airline of the Year and Domestic Airline of the Year at the fifth annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The awards recognise businesses that lead their respective industries in customer satisfaction and are determined by the feedback of more than 13,000 New Zealand consumers through the Roy Morgan Single Source survey carried out throughout the year.

Air New Zealand General Manager Customer Experience Carrie Hurihanganui says the awards reaffirm the relentless focus the airline places on customer experience.
