dnata continues to enhance global catering operations

Dnata-5069

dnata, one of the world’s largest air services providers, continues to enhance its global catering operations, yesterday opening a new, state-of-the-art catering facility in the capital of Australia, Canberra.

Representing an investment of AUD$6.5m, the newest dnata facility allows the company to meet the increased demand for its quality services and create capacity for further growth in Australia.

dnata’s new Canberra facility has 2,000m² of floor space, which is over 30% more than the existing location it replaces. The kitchen is built over two levels to maximise space, and includes six chill rooms, a deep freeze, storeroom, and an area for ‘plating up’ meals.

dnata currently prepares more than 60,000 inflight meals in Canberra every month, serving a wide range of customers from commercial airlines to charter airlines carrying VIPs, government officials and military. The new facility will allow dnata to further diversify its customer portfolio by expanding its offering into new markets.

Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) is pleased to announce the reintroduction of a daily service from Kuala Lumpur to Kochi, in India effective from 31 March 2019.

The introduction of the new service compliments the Airline’s existing services to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. It means that MAB will now offer 60 flights per week to six popular Indian destinations from Kuala Lumpur, providing business and leisure travellers with seamless connectivity from Australian cities including Sydney and Melbourne.

The daily service will be operated by Boeing 737-800s and is available for sale from 15 January 2019. Flights will depart daily from Kuala Lumpur at 2240 each evening, with return flights from Kochi departing at 0100 and arriving into Kuala Lumpur at 0750.

AirAsia upgrading reservation system

Air Asia

AirAsia will be upgrading its Navataire New Skies reservation system this weekend as part of its continuous effort to provide guests an enhanced online experience.

Flight booking will be unavailable during this period from 1:00am to 2:00pm (AEST GMT+11) on Sunday, 20 January 2019 on airasia.com, AirAsia mobile app, sales offices, airport counters and call centres.

Guests will not be able to perform self check-in via the web, mobile app and airport kiosks or manage their bookings until the upgrade is completed.

Guests are also encouraged to be at the airport at least 3 hours before their flight to avoid any travel inconvenience.
