AccorHotels’ Pullman brand has been selected by Auckland Airport and Tainui Group Holdings for a new 5-star hotel to be developed adjacent to Auckland Airport’s international terminal, and expected to open in 2019.

The new 250-room Pullman Auckland Airport will be located next to AccorHotels’ Novotel hotel, and nearby to AccorHotels’ ibis Budget hotel, providing travellers to Auckland with a complete range of high-quality accommodation choices from premium to economy.

The launch of 5-star accommodation will complement a major upgrading program at the airport, which will see the international terminal expanded to add a domestic wing to provide a totally streamlined service for travellers.

For a real life primate adventure  head to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. A UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest Uganda known for its awe-inspiring diversity, it’s also home to just over half the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas – making it the ‘go to’ spot for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla tracking adventure.

For those willing to take a walk on the wild side, a safari here offers up a tantalizing opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the most rare animals on Earth. Dotted by forests and lakes and dominated by the dramatic Virunga mountain range, just under 350 mountain gorillas live and play here among the mossy undergrowth of the forest floor. Tucked away on a on a flat ridge deep within the Forest, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is the ideal base for your encounter with Bwindi’s mountain gorillas.

Prices at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp start from US$266 per person per night based on a 3-night stay for 2 people sharing including all meals and drinks (not premium brands).

Located only 5kms from the historical town of Agios Nikolaos, Karma’s new address is nestled between rugged mountains and the sea. Karma Minoan will be comprised of a selection of hotel apartments and one and two bedroom suites along with pool, bar, restaurant, library, spa and kids club.

Each of the property’s 26 holiday apartments offer panoramic views of Mirabello Bay, Agios Nikolaos and the surrounding mountains. Guests will be able to spend their days lounging by the large swimming pool, or strolling down to Amoudara Beach to dive into the waters of the Aegean Sea.

Visitors can relax in the cool shade of one of the many local tavernas serving authentic Cretan cuisine – the flavours of which embody a lineage as old as Arabia and the Ottoman Empire – in between exploring more contemporary cuisine at one of the many upmarket fine dining restaurants in the town.
