There are a lot of theories being thrown around about missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, and now a new report has revealed that authorities are actively looking into a fresh one.
American lawyer, explorer and MH370 hunter Blaine Gibson (pictured above) has described the timing of is handing over of “promising” pieces of debris to local police and the assassination of a Malaysian diplomat eight days later as “highly suspicious”, in an interview with news.com.au.
Houssenaly Zahid Raza was given the job of delivering the fragments that were found to Malaysian authorities, but was murdered in the Madagascan capital of Antananarivo in August 2017 before he was able to complete his duty.
Gibson told news.com.au that the two pieces of debris are still in a secret location in Madagascar, while the investigation into Raza’s murder plays out.
He said the chief of the MH370 investigation team told him Malaysia had asked for the debris to be delivered, but had not yet received a response from Madagascar police.
News.com.au noted that Madagascar police’s inaction on delivering the parts means they are yet to rule out a potential link between the crash and Raza’s murder.
