As Black Friday draws closer, take a look at the latest deals and discounts from all across the industry to make the most of the year’s most anticipated day to get savings.

Contiki Black Friday sale

Contiki has announced a Black Friday sale running from 4 November to 4 December with up to 50 per cent off on select itineraries.

This year’s sale builds on Contiki’s already-lower “everyday low fare” prices, which saw a price reduction of up to 18 per cent on a huge range of trips. With a Black Friday discount now added on top of these already reduced standard rates, travellers can score savings of up to 26 per cent in real dollar terms.

Contiki has committed to making travel more accessible to young people, releasing a bold new global pricing model, designed to make travel more affordable, transparent and accessible.

“Our Black Friday Sale is the biggest moment of the year and the ultimate chance for Gen Z and Millennial travellers to lock in their next adventure at epic value,” TTCTB SVP Sales Andrew Young said.

“From exploring Europe’s legendary cities on European Highlights to island hopping through the Pacific on Ultimate Philippines Island Hopping or spotting wildlife on the small group tour, Cape, Safari and Falls, there’s a Contiki trip for every kind of traveller ready to make unforgettable memories in 2026.”

During the Black Friday Sale, travellers can find savings of over $1,300 on worldwide Contiki trips including the crowd favourite, Ultimate European with Egypt departing 02 June 2026. Other best-selling tours include – over $800 off Japan Unrivalled, the ultimate Japan adventure; over $450 off an in-depth exploration of Ireland and Scotland and over $740 off a breathtaking adventure to Victoria Falls and Botswana.

With 2026 just around the corner, Contiki’s newly implemented pricing strategy means travellers can enjoy even better everyday value across trips. All it takes is a $200 deposit to lock in their departure date and reduced price, with final payment not due until 60 days before departure.

Umi, Uluwatu Bali

Umi, a luxurious five-star resort in Uluwatu Bali, is opening its doors to guests in May 2026.

The name of Umi Resort – meaning ‘sea’ in Japanese – is a reflection of the resort’s location in the heart of Uluwatu which is renowned for its rugged, picturesque coastline and expansive clifftop panoramas.

Located 200m from Uluwatu Beach, the Australian-owned resort features seven private luxury villas, and 92 thoughtfully designed rooms made up of Deluxe Suites (30sqm), Superior Suites (40sqm) and Family Suites (70sqm), all with pool views and surrounded by 1.5km of lush gardens that wrap around the resort, blending seamlessly into nature and creating an iconic destination.

Umi’s architecture was inspired by the iconic sea caves of nearby Suluban Beach which are naturally curved in a U-shape opening dramatically to the sea. The resorts design reflects this with a U-shaped building that opens to cascading infinity pools following the land’s contour with the building wrapped in sculptural planter boxes, blending lush greenery with clean lines that reflect the feeling of standing inside the cliffs of Uluwatu.

Guests can enjoy the three-tiered pools which seamlessly integrate into the natural slope of the land. Beyond the resort, guests have access to another 10 pools at nearby beach clubs and cliffside venues.

The resort is home to a restaurant, whose menu is curated by Executive Chef Michael McGairy, whose experience includes work at one of Bali’s leading restaurants Teja Uluwatu and as a private chef on Lizard Island for some of the world’s biggest celebrities.

The restaurant is a welcome addition to the Uluwatu’s growing culinary scene with a menu that draws inspiration and a thoughtful fusion from Japanese, modern Australian, Asian, Indonesian, and Middle Eastern cuisines. The atmosphere will be relaxed yet refined, and focus on fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented dishes.

The resort features a carefully curated retail space showcasing local crafts people from Bali, offering signature scents (room sprays and perfumes that are locally sourced and made from frangipanis and sandalwood), lifestyle goods like locally made handbags, beach towels, and design-forward souvenirs that reflect the soul of Uluwatu and leave guests with something truly memorable to take home.

The resort, which has a focus on luxury and sustainability, was envisioned by Co-Founder Danil Flehan and Imersif Architecture in collaboration with Vojtek Morsztyn Studio.

These design principals can be seen through the use of recyclable materials and low-impact construction methods by builders, Umira Sinergi Global.

Furniture and interiors are by Wright Super Yacht Teak who supply Grade A teak to some of the world’s most prestigious superyachts, some worth over $500 million. The furniture is made from the repurposed offcuts and recycled high-quality local Indonesian teak from the marine projects to create custom furniture and interiors that are ethically sourced creating a perfect blend of sustainability and craftsmanship.

The result is a unique blend of sustainable materials and refined craftsmanship,” Flehan said

Situated on the southwestern tip of the Bukit Peninsula, Umi is minutes away from Bali’s renowned cliff-top spas, beach clubs, restaurants and eight world famous surf beaches including Uluwatu and Suluban Beach both just 200m from the resort, as well as Padang Padang, Bingin, Suluban and Dreamland.

“At Umi, we want to give guests an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and offer a sanctuary immersed in Bali’s beautiful environment,” Flehan concluded. “Bali’s natural beauty has been honoured in every detail at Umi, from the architecturally designed building to the delicious meals in the restaurants, to the beautifully made souvenirs crafted by locals. We look forward to sharing this experience with visitors once the doors open next year.”

The development is expected to create over 250 jobs during construction and maintain a team of 150 full time staff upon opening.

To celebrate opening its doors in May, Umi is offering an exclusive package which includes a luxury escape for two, with kids staying free. Choose from 5, 7, or 9-night options starting from just $1,999 (normally valued at $5,500). This all-inclusive experience includes private VIP airport transfers, gourmet daily meals, two one-hour massages, full spa access, and unlimited drinks and cocktails — all set in one of Bali’s most breathtaking natural landscapes.
