Just under 11,000 people voted for their favourite ATAS-accredited agencies in this year’s inaugural NTIA People’s Choice Award, thanks to News Corp’s partnership with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA).
As part of the inaugural ‘People’s Choice Award’ to be announced at NTIA 2022 on 15 October, both the winning agency and finalists will receive valuable exposure across the News Travel Network including ESCAPE, Travel + Luxury and News.com.au Travel.
Taking into account the best skills and solutions provided by ATAS agencies as described by their clients, 5 finalists have now been named based on nearly 11,000 votes by Australian travellers including:
TravLin Travel, Frankston Victoria
Travel Managers, Lismore NSW
Helloworld Carousel, Cannington WA
Tailor Made Travel, Mount Gambier SA
Macleay Valley Travel, Kempsey, NSW
The free-to-enter digital competition asked readers to nominate their favourite ATAS-accredited travel agency in 100 words or less for the chance to win prizes, including two return economy class tickets on Singapore Airlines (SIA) for travel from any Australian city served by Singapore Airlines to any European or UK city served by Singapore Airlines, an Avalon Waterways active and discovery River Cruise on the Rhone for two people to travel in an award-winning Panorama Suites, a cruise for two on Royal Caribbean or two Virgin Australia economy return flights anywhere on the Virgin Australia network.
“As an industry, our community represent the height of resilience and professional excellence, given what we’ve survived,” said Dean Long, AFTA CEO.
“Ultimately, it makes sense that the best judges of our service are the thousands of exceptionally satisfied clients who’ve had fulfilling, stress-free holidays thanks to the refined skills of ATAS-accredited agencies.
“This consumer competition celebrated exceptional service and reinforced the fact that travel is always better when you book with a travel agency. I’m delighted to hear of the incredibly strong response to this competition.
“Newscorp’s generous support of this new NTIA award means talented travel professionals across Australia of all shapes and sizes had the opportunity to benefit from the lucrative exposure that comes with being featured on the pages and spaces that consumers love to visit when planning their next trip.”
