An Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Sydney declared emergency this morning about 45 minutes out from its arrival.
Air New Zealand Flight 101 sent an emergency code at 8:08 am Sydney time.
The flight, which was operated by an Airbus A321 instantly became the most watched flight on websites such as FlightRadar24.com.
YouTube channel SydSquad was broadcasting live from Sydney Airport at the time.
An Air New Zealand spokesperson has confirmed a medical event took place on board.
