It’s been a while since we shared any staff updates at Travel Weekly, but today, dear friends, is an exception.

From babies and weddings to new and old staffers galore, this past year has seen it all, so it’s high time we get sharing!

For starters, our beloved Digital Editor and Events Director, Daisy Melwani, has had a beautiful baby boy.

September last year saw the biggest wedding known to man (and woman), spanning three days and five parties in Thailand, before a little bub was announced a few months later.

What can we say, Daisy’s always known how to get what she wants 😉

And look how cute he is!?!

On 3 June 2017, little Pai (pronounced like the delicious food ‘pie’) was born.

As you can guess, a well-deserved maternity leave came next and that’s where the most recent Online Editor, Hannah Edensor, came back into the picture.

An original Travel Weekly journo from way back, Hannah had a brief hiatus on another publication (traitor!) before returning to her true home of TW.

From February this year, when Daisy’s belly got too big for her to get up the stairs to the office, Hannah returned to take the digital reins.

And now, the time has come for Hannah to pass on the reins once more, as she starts a new adventure involving Mudgee, freelancing and lots of red wine.

Enter Daisy Doctor.

Yes, that’s her real name, and YES, we managed to find the only other Daisy in a 100km square radius from our office.

So as we attempt to break records for the number of Daisy’s in any given office, Daisy Doctor has joined the team.

Hailing from marketing and media trade publications, Daisy 2.0 is another redhead, a keen traveller and an ambitious journalist.

From today, Daisy Doctor is taking over all things Travel Weekly digital, with Hannah wrapping up her final day on Friday. Yes this Friday!

That means all gossip, exciting industry announcements and event invites (these ones especially) can now be sent to daisydoctor@travelweekly.com.au. PR friends, take note.

But please, don’t send her any medical enquiries – as Daisy assures us, she’s not a real doctor!

Daisy Melwani’s maternity leave continues for now, as her baby learns he can cry for fun and prevent mum from sleeping.

And from Hannah, it’s farewell for now, unless you ever need a wine buddy in Mudgee.

P.S. If you wanna spend some ad dollars with us, ruth@travelweekly.com.au is still ya gal, and the always flawless Tara Harrison is still editor of our glossy, glam mag.
