BridgeClimb Sydney has announced a new partnership with Dreamtime Southern X to expand their commitment to Indigenous education and cultural awareness.

The partnership brings a new experience that takes guests on an adventure with a traditional Welcome to Country and an immersive Indigenous smoking ceremony at Dawes Point Reserve.

The experience is guided by a local Aboriginal Elder from Dreamtime Southern X who enriches the guests’ understanding of the ceremony’s origins, purpose, and significance to modern Aboriginal people.

Revered figure in the Aboriginal community, Aunty Margret, said: “Connecting with the land and our cultural heritage is an essential part of who we are. This ceremony offers a unique opportunity for participants to experience the profound connection we have with our Country.”

Guests will learn how to walk on Country with respect and feel the ancient connection to the land through a blessing from dallawaladah. The journey begins with the Burra Cloud Clan Stories, engaging with living, seasonal Dreaming Songline Episodes that tell a rich cultural tale. Guests will also be treated to stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, providing the perfect pre-climb add-on experience.

The ceremony site is just a short two-minute walk from the BridgeClimb base and the ceremony itself takes only 30-45 minutes. After which, guests can continue with the Burrawa Climb, led by a First Nations Storyteller.

The climb is available twice a week, on Tuesday and Sunday at 11.35am with $20 from each adult ticket donated to Tribal Warrior, BridgeClimb’s charity partner.
