British Airways is taking a leaf out of Qantas‘ book by selling off its bar carts and dining sets, in case you wanted to host an aviation-themed Christmas party.
However, unlike the flying kangaroo, the bar carts on offer from British Airways are empty, leading us to suspect the airline has missed the memo on why people like bar carts.
The line is aimed toward loyal customers and aviation fans looking to recreate the onboard experience at home.
Items on offer include William Edwards plates, soup bowls, cups, saucers, butter dishes, bread baskets, hot towels (which naturally arrive cold), hot towel plates, champagne flutes, coasters, the Club World casserole dish, slippers and day blankets.
And for anybody looking for the ultimate Christmas gift for beloved aviation nuts, for a limited time there is also the opportunity to purchase a piece of history with items such as aircraft trolleys and canisters taken from the Boeing 747, which British Airways has now fully retired.
“This is an incredible one-off opportunity for people to bring the magic of flying with British Airways in to their own homes,” Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience, said.
“We know that these special items will fly and we are delighted to be able to offer them in time for Christmas to give people the opportunity to make it memorable during a difficult year.”
The items will are available now and can be perused HERE. However, it appears many of them have already sold out.
