Last Thursday, British Airways hosted an exclusive event to launch new culinary delights available for passengers departing Sydney.
As a major sponsor of this year’s Bondi Openair Cinema, British Airways invited guests to enjoy the critically acclaimed British film, The Imitation Game, while snacking on samples and tasting the accompanying wine.
The British flag carrier used the opportunity to debut elements of its new First and Club World menus, with dishes including lobster medallion with mango and grapefruit salsa, prawn with quinoa and lemon vinaigrette, and smoked salmon with fennel and mayo dill caper dressing.
A selection of award-winning blends from the Teusner (SA) and Logan (NSW) wineries were also provided to showcase the quality Australian produce served on board British Airways flights to London.
A quintessentially British cocktail, named the ‘Fusion Fizz’, was also served to guests, which was a take on the classic British G&T, using a blend of Tanqueray No. Ten gin, homemade jasmine green tea syrup, tonic, and lemon sherbet.
On the evening all guests were provided with British Airways mementos, with First class pyjamas, Club World blankets and amenity kits keeping them comfy, relaxed and refreshed throughout the evening and on their future travels.
To celebrate its sponsorship of the Bondi Openair Cinema, British Airways is offering a 10% discount on all flights booked on www.ba.com/openaircinema.
Additionally, the airline is also offering travellers the chance to experience First class and Club World business class, with the launch of special fares to Singapore, London and Europe, available until February 16.
