Bunnik Tours has recently hosted a group of Aussie advisors on an educational to South Korea, giving them the opportunity to experience the destination first-hand and discover what makes the company’s small group tours so unique.
In collaboration with Korea Tourism Organization and Singapore Airlines, the six-day famil showcased the highlights of Bunnik Tours’ South Korea itinerary, taking agents from the vibrant capital of Seoul to the historic city of Gyeongju, the coastal charm of Busan and the cultural heart of Gwangju.
Hosted by Bunnik Tours business development manager NSW and ACT Walter Delorie, the educational was designed to deepen agents’ product knowledge while immersing them in South Korea’s rich culture, cuisine and history.
Agents explored some of the country’s most iconic sights, including Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, the fortress walls of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and the UNESCO-listed Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju. The group also enjoyed time in Busan, where a sunset cruise offered spectacular views of the city’s coastline.
Beyond the major landmarks, the itinerary highlighted South Korea’s diverse cultural experiences. In Damyang, the group wandered through the tranquil Juknokwon Bamboo Forest, while in Gwangju they visited the Traditional Culture Centre to gain insight into local heritage and customs.
A particular highlight for many was taking part in a hands-on kimchi-making experience, where the agents learned how to prepare South Korea’s famous fermented side dish.

“Food is such an important part of Korean culture, so being able to get involved and learn the process behind kimchi was a fantastic experience for the group,” Delorie said. “It’s these immersive moments that really bring a destination to life.”
Another memorable experience was visiting a traditional Korean spa, where the agents had the chance to try unique treatments including bubble sense therapy and sound floating.
The group enjoyed Singapore Airlines’ award-winning service, exceptional comfort and hospitality onboard, ensuring a seamless journey from Australia to Korea.
“The feedback from the group has been incredibly positive,” Delorie concluded. “Educational trips like this are invaluable in helping agents truly understand the destinations and experiences we offer, and we’re excited to see that enthusiasm translate into future South Korea bookings.”
