The domestic trips just keep coming for Bunnik Tours, with the operator launching an itinerary exploring Canberra and the Sapphire Coast.

On this scenic 11-day exploration, travellers will uncover the natural beauty, bustling towns and vast wildlife this stunning region has on offer.

Guests will spend the first few days taking in all the must-see sights of Canberra. The tour will include a private, behind-the-scenes look at Parliament House, complete with a delicious meal prepared by the in-house chefs.

Paying tribute to the brave fallen soldiers at the Australian War Memorial, the tour group will have the honour of attending a Last Post Ceremony in the Commemorative Courtyard.

Bunnik’s exclusive hop-on, hop-off bus will visit key attractions such as the National Museum of Australia, the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House and the National Rose Gardens.

Nature lovers are also in luck, with this small-group tour offering a departure in October 2021 that coincides with the annual Floriade flower festival.

As the streets of Canberra come alive in a kaleidoscope of colourful blooms, they will encounter over 1,000,000 blossoming flowers in Commonwealth Park, along with live entertainment, arts and crafts.

Headed for the coast, the tour enters the beautiful Eurobodalla region in the south of NSW.

Tasting the flavours from the local towns, they’ll discover why Bodalla is famous for their ice cream and milkshakes, before relaxing with a glass of wine and sampling the cheese at Tilba Valley Winery & Ale House.

Arriving in Bermagui, the spectacular Sapphire Coast comes into view. Travelling this scenic stretch, the tour will stop at a number of main towns including Merimbula, Eden and Pambula.

Guests will hear historic tales, meet the locals and witness a myriad of natural wonders along the way. The journey takes the group up to breathtaking lookouts, through goldfields, the rugged coastlines of Ben Boyd National Park and out to sea.

The group will learn the techniques behind oyster farming, marvel at the Snowy Hydro engineering feat, and witness the fascinating Camel Rock and Horse Head Rock that actually look just like their name suggests.

Before the tour concludes in Canberra, the group will experience a private tour of the wonderfully restored 1850s Lanyon Homestead.

Exploring the convict-era outbuildings, they will gain an appreciation for life back in the day, before wandering the lovingly cultivated gardens, along with a scrumptious high tea to boot.

Bunnik Tours will be using full-size coaches taking a maximum of just 20 travellers, with all sightseeing, accommodation and many meals included in the price. Departure dates kick off in November.

The new trip adds to Bunnik Tours’ list of domestic firsts this year, having recently released itineraries for Western Australia and Victoria.
