A video of a woman being kicked off a plane for refusing to wear a mask and swearing at a flight attendant has surfaced on Twitter, proving why its important to follow airline instructions and refrain from being a jerk.

A Fox News journalist posted two videos of the incident to Twitter after receiving the footage from his friend.

“M’am, you need to have a mask on. You need to have the paper mask they provided,” a flight attendant can be heard saying to the woman in the video.

“You have to wear your mask the whole entire flight. If you’re unable to do so you will be removed from the flight,” she said.

The woman ignored her until the flight attendant turned to speak with a colleague.

“Thanks, a**hole,” the woman appeared to have said.

“Okay, you’re done. Let’s go,” the flight attendant said.

“You’re getting off the aircraft. You’re done, you’re not going to speak to me like that.”

The flight attendant tells the woman that she would have agreed to wear a mask when she checked into her flight and when she bought her ticket, but the woman still refused to move.

In the second video, a man who appears to be a security guard tells the woman she needs to leave and helps her get her bag down from the overhead locker before escorting her off the plane.

Passengers in the video applauded as she disembarked.

“Bye Karen!” one passenger can be heard saying.

The Independent reported that the incident took place on a Frontier Airlines flight from Cincinnati, Ohio to Tampa, Florida.

Travel Weekly has reached out to Frontier Airlines for comment and has not received a response. However, a spokesperson from the airline told The Independent that its face-covering policy is clearly explained during the reservations and check-in process, during boarding and on board the aircraft.

“Face coverings are required throughout a traveller’s journey when flying with Frontier,” the spokesperson said.

“The passenger will be placed on our Prevent Departure List.”
