Cabin crew get the boot after drunken stopover

British Airways give the sack to three cabin crew after having an outrageous boozer that allegedly caused damage to a Kenyan hotel.

‘Tis the season for Christmas staff parties, where endless champagne flutes fly around, and colleagues let loose their drunken foolishness.

But what if you and your work buds take it that one step too far?

Three British Airways cabin crew got to find out. They got more than a terrible hangover after getting drunk on a stopover in Kenya. They got the sack for their OTT (over the top) drunken behaviour in an upmarket hotel in Kenyan’s capital of Nairobi.

Ole Sereni hotel guests and staff were not impressed with the trio’s boozy antics. Cabin crew are warned by BA that wild partying on stopovers could cost them their jobs.

“Many staff regard overnight stopovers as a party,” A BA insider told The Sun newspaper.

“This was one session that got out of hand. We will always take appropriate action if a staff member’s behaviour falls below the exceptionally high standards of professionalism we expect.”

The hotel has accused the three BA employees of having caused damage to the hotel lobby.

BA is, however, disputing such claims with there being no reports of property damage.

“We expect exceptionally high standards of professionalism from our highly trained crew, and we will always take the appropriate action if a member of staff’s behaviour falls below that standard, ” BA added.

Perhaps this is a word of warning before we scull that extra schooner at the staff festivities, and end up vomming on the office Christmas tree and roasting the boss to colleagues…
