Nineties kids, rejoice! Your favourite after school sitcom home is now available on Airbnb!
The Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, has teamed up with Airbnb to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of tv hit The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air by opening the doors to the house where it all took place.
The familiar residence is just as fly as it was when Smith’s character of the same name called it home, complete with graffiti art, posh interiors, family portraits, and Philly cheesesteaks served on silver platters — auntie and uncle not included.
Starting 29 September at 11am PDT, groups of up to two Los Angeles County residents will have the chance to book one of five stays in Smith’s wing of the mansion on 2 October, 5 October, 8 October, 11 October and 14 October for only $30 a night.
During their stay, guests will be treated to some themed perks, like shooting b-ball in Smith’s bedroom, spinning records on a set of turntables, playing dress-ups in Smith’s closet, soaking up some poolside sun and a virtual welcome from DJ Jazzy Jeff.
House rules are in strict adherence with local COVID-19 guidelines and, unfortunately, those who request to book must prove Los Angeles County residency and currently live in the same household to minimize risk.
So that fans around the world can get in on the fun, DJ Jazzy Jeff will also be hosting an Airbnb Online Experience, where he’ll teach guests how to spin and scratch on the decks.
Guests will get to spend some time with him in his home studio (virtually, of course) and spin some vinyl together in honour of the good ‘ole days at the freshest crib in LA.
