The Walshe Group has appointed Travel Weekly Women in Travel Awards winner Candice Steffensen as South African Airways’ (SAA) national sales manager, Australia and New Zealand.
Since 2022, Steffensen was the manager, Marketing – Australia and New Zealand at Lufthansa Group, which is represented in the region by The Walshe Group as GSA.
Steffensen brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, with a passion for digital marketing. Prior to joining The Walshe Group, her career includes positions at Virgin Australia and Destination NSW. In 2023, Steffensen won the Aviation category for Travel Weekly’s Women in Travel Awards, a testament to her passion for the aviation sector.
In her new role, Steffensen will work closely with the Australia & New Zealand sales team and our local trade partners to seek opportunities in new or existing market segments, deliver incremental sales and grow SAA’s brand awareness across Australia and New Zealand.
In the role, effective immediately, Steffensen will be working closely with Michael Hall who is the SAA country manager, Australia and New Zealand.
