Cathay Pacific Airways has been named the World’s Best Economy Class Airline for 2025 at the prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards, topping the global rankings ahead of Qatar Airways in second place and Singapore Airlines in third.

The awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” recognise excellence across multiple categories based on millions of passenger surveys from around the world.

Top Honours for Comfort and Service

The Hong Kong–based carrier also secured second place in the category for Best Economy Class Airline Seats, just behind Japan Airlines, which took out the top spot for its spacious, ergonomic seating. Third place went to Korean Air.

Meanwhile, EVA Air was awarded Best Economy Class Onboard Catering, praised for its high-quality inflight meals. Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways rounded out the top three in this category.
