CATO announces partners for IWD 2025 lunch

 The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has announced partners joining forces for this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) Lunch, set to take place on Thursday, 6 March 2025, at Q Events, Melbourne.

CATO is thrilled to have the support of Chimu Adventures, Collette, Destination Canada, Globus Family of Brands, G Adventures, Intrepid, Julie King & Associates, On the Go Tours, NIB Travel, and The Travel Corporation – all of whom have come together and are committed to amplifying the impact of this important occasion.

The partners have united under the Brands for a Cause initiative, demonstrating their shared commitment to driving positive change and championing women in the travel industry and beyond.

This year’s event is centred around the theme ‘Emotional Resilience’, highlighting the remarkable achievements of women while fostering meaningful conversations on strength, perseverance, and empowerment.

“We are incredibly thankful to our partners who have come together in unity to support this vital cause,” CATO managing director Brett Jardine said.

“Their commitment not only celebrates the exceptional women in our industry but also contributes to an important conversation about emotional resilience and the support systems needed for women to thrive.”

The IWD Lunch will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers, including Olympic gold medallist Noémie Fox and CEO of Yellow Falcon, Ashleigh Conwell, with Ingrid Berthelsen serving as Master of Ceremonies.

The event will also provide critical support to the Women’s Resilience Centre, an organisation dedicated to assisting women transitioning from crisis care to recovery following domestic abuse, trauma, and loss. CATO encourages all attendees to show their solidarity by wearing a touch of yellow, symbolising joy, resilience, hope, and empowerment.
