Luxury Escapes has launched a culinary getaway with celebrity chef Miguel Maestre at Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort, in the Maldives.
The itinerary gives Australians a new reason to visit the destination beyond its overwater villas and clear waters.
For one week only, starting 28 September, 30 guests will join Maestre for a five-night culinary escape celebrating the flavours of Spain and the Maldives. The experience combines direct flights aboard Luxury Escapes’ nonstop charter service with chef-hosted dining, beachfront feasts and behind-the-scenes culinary moments.
Maestre will host a live paella experience at Finolhu’s Crab Shack, preparing his signature seafood paella using Maldivian tuna and prawns.
“Everyone knows the Maldives for its crystal-clear water and incredible beaches, but the food deserves just as much attention,” Maestre said. “The seafood is exceptional, the local ingredients are amazing and I can’t wait to bring a little bit of Spain to the Maldives with a paella cooked right on the beach,”
Guests will also sample the resort’s dining line-up, spanning Japanese cuisine at Kanusan and traditional Maldivian dishes, alongside a hidden speakeasy cocktail evening, Finolhu’s White Party and a Maldivian beach celebration.

Luxury Escapes priced the package from AU$13,998 for two people, including flights from Melbourne to Malé, seaplane transfers, accommodation, premium alcoholic drinks, early check-in, late checkout, select dining experiences and access to Maestre’s culinary program.
In April next year, celebrity chef Shane Delia will host in Luxury Escapes’ tour in Malta.
