Celestyal has introduced new in-cabin guest experience tablets across all 630 cabins on Celestyal Journey, becoming the first cruiseline to use SuitePad tablets across its stateroom accommodation.

The tablets, provided by SuitePad, are now available to all travellers sailing onboard the 1260-guest ship.

Designed to streamline onboard services and simplify how information is communicated, the technology allows guests to manage key aspects of their cruise directly from their cabin.

Through the tablets, travellers can make service requests and purchases via the onboard shops, order room service, request a cabin upgrade and reserve tables at specialty restaurants. They can also access essential information including deck plans and onboard entertainment schedules, replacing printed schedules and flyers.

“Technology should always make the cruising experience feel easier and more intuitive for our travellers, and that’s exactly what these tablets are designed to do,” Celestyal chief commercial officer Lee Haslett said. “Our guests now have more control at their fingertips, while we also create smarter, more seamless ways to connect them with our onboard offering. It’s a great example of how we continue to invest in guest satisfaction across our fleet.”

“Cruise ships combine many of the service elements guests know from hotels, while offering a uniquely rich onboard experience,” SuitePad CEO Moritz von-Petersdorf-Campen said. “With Celestyal, we’re extending our hospitality expertise to support clear, timely communication in the cabin, giving passengers an easy way to explore what’s available onboard and helping crew teams stay connected with guests throughout the journey.”

Celestyal Journey operates year-round, offering seven and 14-night sailings across the Greek Islands and Mediterranean from April to November, and seven-night sailings in the Arabian Gulf from November to March.

As part of a current summer promotion on sale until 19 February a 14-night Mediterranean Icons cruise on Celestyal Journey is priced from $,2299 per person twin share. The Mediterranean adventure takes in 13 ports across Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Turkey and Greece. All fares are inclusive of all meals, soft drinks, Wi-Fi, port fees and gratuities.
