Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) has announced the resignation of CEO Sue Sullivan after five years in the role.
Sullivan will be leaving the association at the end of November to take up a new role in Canterbury as CEO of Christchurch and Hanmer Attractions.
CINZ chair Tony Gardner said Sullivan has been outstanding in leading the organisation since her appointment in June 2014, taking it into a new chapter of member-focused industry leadership.
“Over five successful years, Sue has done a remarkable job leading CINZ from a time of uncertainty to today’s important role in the sector,” he said.
“Her non-stop drive and straight-up leadership have been powerful in creating value for members and the industry.
“We will miss her, but she is going to an exciting new opportunity in her home region of Canterbury, and we wish her all the best..”
Commenting on her departure, Sullivan said: “New Zealand’s business events industry is set for great things, and I am privileged to have worked with an amazing team and many hundreds of our members in this vibrant, exciting sector.”
CINZ has commenced its search for a new CEO.
