CINZ MEETINGS is celebrating its 20th year, with some 800 top business event organisers to meet in Auckland next week for New Zealand’s only national business events trade show.

This year’s CINZ MEETINGS brings together hundreds of influential business event professionals from New Zealand, Australia, South and South-East Asia, China and North America to sign business at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds on 15 and 16 June.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says
MEETINGS is the ultimate annual event for conference, meeting, incentive and event managers.

“We attract everyone from high-end incentive travel organisers looking for bespoke luxury, to corporate professionals planning company events, and large international associations organising multi-day conferences.”

Sullivan added that MEETINGS gives event organisers the chance to do a year’s worth of business in two days, all under one roof.

“We are showcasing the latest trends in food, travel, design, technology, and entertainment, and treating them to an authentic taste of New Zealand hospitality – our Manaakitanga.”

Over the two days and three nights local and international travel and tourism buyers will hold more than 6,000 meetings with over 190 exhibitors from 19 regions. Last year more than $50 million worth of business was contracted at the event.

This weekend 100 Australian event organisers and media flown here by Air New Zealand will tour their choice of eight different regions – Hamilton and Waikato, Taupo, Rotorua, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin – before meeting in Auckland for a day tour of the host city with Auckland Convention Bureau.

“This face to face time, experience and networking is at the crux of our industry. MEETINGS is much more than an exhibition, we give them a total Kiwi experience from the moment they arrive,” Sue Sullivan says.

MEETINGS kicks off with a 20th anniversary welcome function at The Langham hotel on 14 June, and the social programme includes events hosted by Auckland Convention Bureau, and a spectacular finale dinner for 650 at Vodafone Events Centre.

MEETINGS is free to attend for anyone who organises business events. For more information and to apply to attend CINZ MEETINGS 2016 as a day buyer go to www.meetings.co.nz
