The Lower Hunter Valley has welcomed a distinctive new addition to its luxury accommodation landscape with the official launch of Clayfields Hunter Valley.
The property has also revealed its offering of private guided artisanal honey tasting experiences.
Clayfields Hunter Valley sits within a remote 30-acre estate on the Around Hermitage Trail in New South Wales. The property combines high end, adults only seclusion with an active, on-site apiary for artisan honey production.
The estate features two bespoke luxury villas – The Lakeview King Villa and the pet friendly Valley View King Villa. Each one bedroom villa boasts nearly 150 square metres of indoor and outdoor living space designed for year-round indulgence, featuring private heated outdoor Jacuzzis, indoor spa baths, soaring fireplaces, and gourmet country breakfast hampers.
“We didn’t just want to build another place to sleep in the Hunter Valley; we wanted to create an authentic experience that reflects the true soul of this region,” Clayfields Hunter Valley proprietor Stanford Deveraux said. “Pokolbin is our home, and Clayfields is a labor of love.”
Beyond the luxury accommodation, what truly sets Clayfields apart is its Clayfields Artisan Honey. Working hives are found throughout the property’s native bushland and old-growth trees, where resident bees forage on seasonal botanicals and Ironbark blossoms.
Guests will find complimentary jars of raw, cold honey in their gourmet breakfast provisions. During their stay, guests can enjoy private guided honey tasting experiences, learn about the mechanics of small batch sustainable beekeeping, and sample unique seasonal harvests directly from the estate’s hives, including specialty infusions and pure honeycomb.
