CLIA LIVE reached Sydney this week, bringing together 28 different cruise lines for two days of practical travel advisor training.

As the sixth stage in CLIA’s annual in-person seminar program, Sydney’s CLIA LIVE event provided detailed product updates and sales insights for dozens of advisors over Tuesday and Wednesday.

The events are designed to give CLIA travel advisors essential knowledge on a broad range of different cruise lines, giving them a clear understanding of each brand’s character and the perspective needed to match their clients with the right product.

CLIA LIVE has already visited Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, and will soon head to Auckland and the Gold Coast.

Around 800 CLIA member travel agents will take part in this year’s program, which has become one of the most popular initiatives in CLIA’s education calendar.

CLIA director of Membership & Events in Australasia Marita Nosic said this year’s CLIA LIVE had again been fully subscribed.

“CLIA LIVE always sells out quickly, it’s a rare opportunity to learn from multiple cruise lines back-to-back,” Nosic said.

“This year has brought more cruise lines into the program, including several brands that are taking part for the first time, which means agents gain an even broader view of the opportunities in cruising.”
