Club Med welcomes new MICE BDM for the Pacific market

Club Med has introduced to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Events) industry, Tomasina Boone, as its new MICE business development manager (BDM) for the Pacific market.

Affectionately known as “Tommy”, Boone joins Club Med after more than a decade working with Blue Chip companies in the US and Australia. In her latest role as BDE for American Express, Boone worked with midmarket companies in the revenue range of up to $100 million and was responsible for prospecting new clients by innovating the sales process, a role that seamlessly aligns with Club Med’s overarching MICE strategy.

Michelle Davies, general manager for Club Med Pacific said: “Club Med has experienced significant growth within its MICE sector with more and more Australian and New Zealand businesses prioritising the positive impact human connection has on employee performance.

“Tommy’s arrival will be instrumental in strengthening the MICE sector of our business, capitalising on our success so far and reinforcing our unique offering to both current and prospectus clients.

“With the opening of several new resorts in the coming years, including San Sicario in Italy, Kota Kinabulo in Borneo Maylasia, and Surf ‘n’ Safari in South Africa, we can’t wait to be able to showcase these beautiful destinations to our clients and continue to create unforgettable experiences for them and their teams.”

Boone added: “One of my favourite quotes from Maya Angelou that I’ve stood by throughout my career is that ‘people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel’, a sentiment I think reflects Club Med’s commitment to creating positive and unforgettable moments for its clients in the corporate meetings and events space.

“When the role of MICE BDM came up, I knew it would be the perfect fit for me. I’m looking forward to working alongside the very talented Club Med team to engage prospectus clients and continue to drive growth for the business.”
