Tourism Australia’s controversial ‘Philausophy’ campaign has been given The Chaser treatment, and the result is pretty funny.

Just a day after Tourism Australia’s ‘Philausophy’ campaign launched to a barrage of criticism, Australian satirists The Chaser gave it a once-over and made it “more honest”, and Travel Weekly can’t believe we didn’t see this sooner.

Check out the parody ad in all its glory below:

We saw tourism Australia was copping some flack for being unrealistic in their #philAUSophy ad, so we thought we'd help them out with a new edit that's a bit more honest pic.twitter.com/Ob49xKCh35

Tourism Australia’s latest global campaign strategy is part of a $38 million investment that will be rolled out in the country’s 15 key tourism markets over the next three years to attract more international tourists Down Under.

The new work was borne of research that found 70 per cent of “high-value” travellers believed Australians had a different perspective on life, while a further 73 per cent found the lifestyle appealing.
