Coronet Ridge Resort has reopened its doors following a multi-million-dollar redevelopment to become Queenstown’s newest five-star luxury alpine sanctuary.
The high-end 41-room retreat is perched above the Shotover River in Arthur’s Point, Coronet Ridge Resort, is led by general manager Ethan Heng and is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Coronet Peak Ski Area and Queenstown.

Luxurious lodgings
Designed by G2 Studio including interiors in collaboration with Furnz Group, each of the rooms and suites features private balconies or patios that feature mountain vistas, while interiors offer natural tones, bespoke timber joinery, and local artistry and photography.
Room types range from 37 sqm Alpine View and Shotover River View rooms (featuring three accessible rooms), to 62 sqm and 70 sqm Shotover Suites to a 70 sqm two-bedroom Coronet Suite. Entry level room rates start from $835 per night including breakfast.
Elevated dining experiences
Elevation Bar & Restaurant features panoramic views of the Wakatipu Basin, the Remarkables mountain range, and the Shotover River below and showcases locally-sourced ingredients. Guests can dine in the open on the terrace or in the stylish interior on executive chef Dominic Dsouza’s seasonally inspired menu.
On winter evenings, in the intimate Library Bar guests can sip single malt whiskies and world-class wines from Central Otago’s internationally celebrated vineyards in front of the fireplace.
Alpine amenities
The resort’s amenities include a Roman-inspired day spa, outdoor hot tubs, a fitness centre, squash courts and an private cinema. Signature day spa treatments include the three-hour head-to-toe ‘The Ridge Journey’ featuring full-body exfoliation, hydrating body wrap, a 75-minute full-body massage and facial using New Zealand made botanical and organic skincare by RAAIE and Corbin Rd. All spa treatments include complimentary access to the indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room.
