Excitement is building across Australia’s travel sector with just days to go until the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) lights up The Star Brisbane on Saturday 18 October.

Widely regarded as the industry’s night of nights, the NTIA will bring together the best and brightest from across the travel landscape – from agency leaders and tour operators to airlines, cruise lines and tourism boards – to celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement.

This year’s awards follow Beyond Borders, the thought-leadership and networking forum hosted by Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) at The Star on Friday 17 October. Attendees will hear directly from the ATIA Board and leadership team, as well as other top-tier speakers. The NTIA Finalists Celebration at The Star’s Leisure Deck will cap off Friday night, setting the tone for a huge weekend of celebration and connection.

38 categories, one big night

With Singapore Airlines as Major Sponsor, the NTIA will recognise excellence across 38 award categories spanning every corner of the travel industry — from frontline agents to major operators, sustainability champions to customer service standouts.

A major highlight will be the People’s Choice Awards, where Australian travellers themselves have nominated and voted for their favourite accredited travel agent, tour operator or cruise line, shining a spotlight on the deep trust and connection between the trade and its customers.

The gala evening will be hosted by TV journalist Shelly Horton and will feature a black-tie dinner, entertainment and the all-important award presentations celebrating outstanding contributions across the sector.

“We can’t wait to see everyone in Brisbane,” ATIA CEO Dean Long said.

“The NTIA is more than a celebration – it’s a symbol of our industry’s strength and collaboration. It represents the resilience, creativity and professionalism of our members. It’s the highlight of our calendar and a night to celebrate the incredible people and businesses who make Australian travel what it is.”
