It’s high tide for the cruise industry, with UK-based cruise mag Cruise International having just wrapped up its 2017 awards.
While Princess and Silversea stole the show, there were a few underdogs that managed to snag some top gongs.
Princess was awarded Best Cruise Line overall, followed by P&O. Viking Cruises took the award for Best River Cruise Line, while Riviera came runner-up.
Seabourn came out on top in the Best Luxury Cruise line category, with Regent Seven Seas Cruises coming in second.
What’s the best line to break your cruise virginity? Princess Cruises was awarded the top gong in the Best for First-Time Cruisers category, P&O came in second.
Dubrovnik picked up the Best European Destination award, a contentious choice considering Dubrovnik’s mayor Mato Franković’s comments on overtourism in August.
