Wild and far-flung islands in Scotland, Iceland, Denmark and the English Channel will be explored on a new triple cruise package for 2024 now on sale through Australian small ship cruising specialist, Cruise Traveller.

The company is offering savings of $2040 per couple and $1870 for solo travellers for bookings made by July 31, 2023.

The new, 24-night ‘Waterfalls and Whisky’ fly-cruise package is being offered in partnership with boutique British cruise line, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, which specialises in traditional seafaring experiences and secluded and remote destinations bigger ships cannot reach.

Cruise Traveller is the exclusive Australian representative for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

The package begins on May 5, 2024, with an included flight to London from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth, followed by a night’s stay in the English capital. Guests then transfer to Southampton to board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ stylish, 1360-guest ship, Borealis, for a combined 23-night voyage to a string of destinations and wild and rugged islands in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Denmark, France and the Channel Isles.

The spacious Borealis boasts eight bars and lounges, six restaurants, two pools, two jacuzzis, a fitness centre and sweeping teak decks.

Borealis will take wilderness and nature lovers on a trio of seafaring adventures, beginning with a seven-night cruise from Southampton to the rugged landscapes and quaint fishing villages in the Hebrides Islands and the Shetland  Islands where the main town, Lerwick, is the northern-most community in the UK, 160 km north of the Scottish mainland.

Returning to Southampton, Borealis will then head north again, this time on an 11-night journey circling Iceland, visiting breathtaking places where guests can see spurting geysers, soaring peaks and thundering waterfalls.

The cruise traverses the awe-inspiring, 60km-long Eyjafjorour, Iceland’s longest fjord, and features remote islands north of Iceland within the Arctic Circle and also the Insta-worthy Faroe Islands which belong to Denmark and boast wild landscapes, pretty village and abundant wildlife including puffins and gannets.

Returning to Southampton again, guests will remain onboard as Borealis this time heads south on a five-night cruise taking in beautiful, quirky islands in the English Channel including the Scilly Isles, Guernsey, Brecqhou, Sark and Alderney with a visit also to the historic French port of Honfleur.

The total 23-night voyage ends back in Southampton where guests will transfer back to London for the included flight back to Australia.
