Cruise Traveller has announced an exclusive 12-night ‘Western Australian Wonders’ fly, cruise, and stay package for an in-depth exploration of the wild West Australian coastline aboard Ponant’s Le Soleal.

The 2025 package begins on 9 August with an included flight to Broome from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne. Guests stay two nights in Broome before boarding Le Soleal which offers a fine dining and grill restaurant, panoramic lounge, theatre, library, open-air bar, pool, an expert expedition team and personalised service.

From Broome, the ship sets course on a 10-night voyage right along the WA coastline to Perth, featuring far-flung islands, deserted beaches, turquoise waters and many World-Heritage sites.

Destinations include Murujuga National Park on the Burrup Peninsula, home to the biggest collection of indigenous rock art in the world, with more than one million engravings providing an archaeological record of human habitation spanning 47,000 years.

Also on the itinerary is the underwater wonderland of Ningaloo Reef, places visited by western sailors as far back as 1616, the massive bird colonies in the far-flung Montebello Islands and the coral reefs and pristine waters of the Abrolhos Islands – the site of the infamous Batavia shipwreck in 1629 when only one third of 341 passengers survived the sinking and subsequent mutiny and massacre ashore.

The expedition cruise includes guided, complimentary excursions on Zodiacs and ashore and also the indulgence of an open bar onboard Le Soleal, with an opportunity to swim and snorkel at stops throughout the cruise.

After arriving in Perth, guests head home on an included flight back to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne.

Including return flights, two nights’ accommodation and excursions and beverages during the voyage, the fly, stay and cruise package on 9 August 2025, is available from $14,995 per person, twin-share, in a Superior Stateroom – a saving of $4035 if booked by 30 April 2025.
