Cruise Whitsundays has reopened Reefworld, its pontoon permanently moored at Hardy Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef.

Reefworld now operates only as an overnight pontoon, exclusively for Reefsleep and Reefsuite guests.

Overnight stay at Reefworld in Reefsleep is from AU$895 per person double occupancy, $920 solo occupancy. Overnight stay at Reefsuite is from $1,495 per person double occupancy, $2,690 per person solo occupancy. Reservations are now open.

Reefsleep accommodation comprises 16 four-poster Reefbeds complete with privacy screens. Reefsuite rooms are underwater, with dedicated dining, lounge and relaxation spaces throughout.

The new overnight experience provides exclusive access to the pontoon.

Optional activities for guests include scuba diving and scenic helicopter flights over the Great Barrier Reef at an additional cost.

Other highlights

  • Scenic return cruise through the Whitsunday Islands to the Outer Reef, with priority boarding and reserved seating
  • Aqua Pool with stinger protection net
  • Underwater observatory and semi-submarine guided tour

From 2027, a new 36-metre catamaran will join the Cruise Whitsundays fleet. The multi-deck vessel will offer passengers indoor and outdoor seating options, including open-air upper deck with an expansive viewing platform, as well as an area reserved for Reefworld guests.

Less than a month ago, Cruise Whitsundays reopened its Heart Pontoon on Hardy Reef after implementing major renovations.
