Cruiseabout is set to open two new storefronts in Indooroopilly, Brisbane and Doncaster, Melbourne later this year, bringing its total retail footprint to 11 locations across the country.
The expansion comes as the number of Australians cruising rose 9.5 per cent year-on-year to 1.4 million passengers, according to the Cruise Lines International Association’s 2026 Source Market Report.
General manager Brad Kennedy said the growth reflected a broader opportunity in the market. “It’s hard to believe that in just three years we’ve managed to rebuild an entire brand and have 11 stores in almost every state, in addition to three incredibly successful remote teams.”
Kennedy attributed the continued investment in physical retail to the complexity of cruise as a purchase category. “Cruise is a considered purchase – nuanced not only in itinerary, but in cruise line, ship size, level of luxury, inclusions and so much more. Our stores give people that confidence, and our consultants the platform to build long-term relationships with their clients.”
Both new locations will offer face-to-face expertise across ocean, river and expedition itineraries. Cruiseabout is currently hiring team leaders and consultants for both sites.
