Crystal has today announced key advancements in its global reservations and trade sales operations in APAC alongside new appointments in the US, UK and Europe.
The news recognises the continued to growth in the local market and Crystal is investing in personnel with a bolstered team based out of the Melbourne regional headquarters.
“Crystal, along with all the Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, is 100 per cent committed to supporting our trade partners across the markets of Australia, New Zealand and Asia,” VP sales, Crystal (APAC), Toby Archibald, said.
“We will continue to invest where and as we see potential for growth and seek to support our supporters in whatever way we can. These appointments are indicative of our commitment.”
Leading the appointments is the placing of Evon Ler as director of sales in Asia.
Based in Singapore, Ler is responsible for all sales activities for both Crystal and Abercrombie & Kent across this critical market. He will continue re-establish Crystal’s presence in Asia where the brand originated, while also launching an initial trade sales presence for Abercrombie & Kent in this exciting market.
Ler has more than 20 years of experience across Asia having spent time in both Hong Kong and Singapore in senior roles with The Travel Corporation, where she was President of Asia for Luxury Gold and Insight Tours, and Miki Travel where she headed up the ePurchasing division.
Alongside Crystal’s core Trade Sales Team is their growing Melbourne-based Reservations Team, comprised entirely of former travel advisors and owner/managers.
“Hiring from the trade ensures that we understand the trade. Our team can empathise with the pressure advisors are under every day while assisting them,” Archibald concluded.
