Corporate Travel Management has locked in Ana Pedersen as its permanent managing director and Group CEO on an annual salary of $1.2 million – with the potential to pocket up to $2.7 million this financial year once incentives are included.

The appointment, confirmed today, ends months of speculation over who would take the top job full-time after a turbulent period for the ASX-listed travel giant. Pedersen has been running CTM as Acting Group CEO since February and will officially step into the permanent role on 23 July.

Previous CEO and founder Jamie Pherous had been acting as a consultant since February on $675,000 a year. The sixth month period he had been signed up for ends in August.

Chairman Ewen Crouch said Pedersen had steadied the ship during a difficult stretch for the company, navigating complex circumstances while keeping the focus on clients and staff. He said the Board was confident she was the right person to lead CTM through its current challenges and beyond.

Pedersen joined CTM in October 2024 as Global Chief Commercial Officer before being elevated to Acting CEO. She brings more than 20 years’ experience across corporate travel, hospitality and technology.

She said the priority now was pushing ahead with discipline and clarity, while working toward fair and timely outcomes for those affected by the company’s recent troubles.

Pedersen holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW.

The news comes just days after CTM’s company secretary and group chief legal officer, Shelley Sorrenson, resigned.
