Cunard’s Queen Victoria will undergo a three-week refit at Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam, returning to service with a refreshed Grand Lobby, reimagined Queens Room, updated Grill Suites and new wellness café.
After the refurb, from 17 October to 5 November 2026, the 2,061-guest ship will return to service on 7 November 2026, ahead of a 2027 season covering the Mediterranean, the Norwegian Fjords and a World Voyage including sectors to and from Sydney.
Australian guests will be among the first to see the refreshed ship, with Queen Victoria calling into Sydney on 24 February 2027 as part of that voyage.
The Grand Lobby will be redesigned to enhance the sense of arrival, while the Queens Room will continue to host Cunard’s Afternoon Tea service, live music and Gala Evenings. The Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites will also be updated with new furnishings and design details.
Eight additional Britannia staterooms will be added, including three in a new category, Britannia Deluxe Oceanview, which will feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The new staterooms go on sale from 21 July for voyages sailing from 11 November 2026.
Queen Victoria will become the third ship in the Cunard fleet to introduce The Pavilion Wellness Café, following its launch on Queen Anne in 2024 and its introduction on Queen Elizabeth in 2025. The venue will serve breakfast, lunch and daytime dining, with a menu including plant-based options alongside sustainably sourced meat, fish and dairy.
Cunard president Katie McAlister said the line had approached the refit with respect for the ship’s character.
