This July marks 15 years since Delta Air Lines began flying between Sydney and Los Angeles.
To mark the occasion, Delta Air Lines had a small activation at their check in counter at Sydney Airport on Thursday July 4 – Independence Day in the US.
Passengers were greeted with red, white and blue balloons as well as Delta themed cupcakes.

Delta will launch a seasonal route between Brisbane and Los Angeles in December.
The first flight departing Los Angeles will be on 4 December 2024 and the first flight departing Brisbane will be on 6 December 2024. This flight will operate three times per week through 28 March 2025.
This route will operate on the Airbus A350-900 (same aircraft which flies between Sydney and LA) with four product experiences: Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
