Ever dreamt you were locked in a department store past closing time? Well, Airbnb is here to make your dreams come true … in a good way, that is.

The home-sharing platform has teamed up with Myer’s Melbourne flagship store to give one family the opportunity to wake up in a Christmas wonderland.

An overnight stay will be held at the store on 23 December going on sale at 12:01pm on 19 December HERE for just $65 to mark 65 years of Myer’s iconic Christmas windows.

Whoever scores the once-in-a-lifetime experience will have Elves from Myer’s Santaland as their shopping chaperones, and will be treated to a curated schedule of yuletide activities across nine levels of retail nirvana, plus a sizable store credit to spend along the way.

For the overnight adventure, Myer’s Personal Shopping Suites will be transformed into a two-bedroom family apartment with a private chef, ensuring all the creature comforts to get some R&R in between a jam-packed schedule of shop-floor shenanigans.

Masterchef’s Khanh Ong will be catering to all culinary needs, with celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson on hand for fashion expertise, and a bedtime story read by Eddie Perfect, who narrated the Myer Christmas Windows this year.

The stay will kick off with a Christmas feast with all the trimmings alongside Myer ambassador Kris Smith.

Then it’s onto a once in a lifetime after-dark private tour of the Myer Christmas windows with the mastermind behind the annual display, creative and technical director John Kerr.

The grand finale takes place in the toy department, where the spirit of giving will be embraced during a charity ‘toy grab’. Myer Gifticians will set the clock for five minutes and every toy guests are able to grab will be donated to the Salvation Army, to help spread some Christmas cheer to needy families.

For those who are keener on a Christmas at home, Airbnb has recruited the iconic Kris Jenner to host an online experience with famed artistic designer Jeff Leatham to help you style your home for the festive season.

During this star-studded decor session, Jenner shared her personal holiday styling hacks and inspiration – from over-the-top arrangements to understated charm.

The live session took place on 15 December, but you can watch it on demand HERE.
