Desert & Delta Safaris has returned to Australia and New Zealand, engaging with African wholesale operators to reinforce strong industry relationships and expand awareness of their experiences in Botswana.

As part of its commitment to the Australian and New Zealand market, Desert & Delta Safaris hosted an exclusive event at the Tilbury Hotel in Sydney last night. Sales and marketing manager, Stephen Frenkel, expressed gratitude to partners for their continued support.

“We have a longstanding history with the Australian market, making it essential for us to visit in person each year,” Frenkel said. “Our market position has grown significantly, moving from the 8th to the 4th largest source market in the past year. We are excited to see this momentum continue in the coming years.”

Desert & Delta Safaris focus on affordable luxury is appealing to the Australian traveller, providing immersive African safari adventures at an attractive price point. For trade partners, the company delivers a seamless and convenient way to book Botswana’s largest and most recognised fly-in safari circuit.

With 10 properties across Botswana, Desert & Delta Safaris provides a diverse array of experiences, including land and water-based safaris, sleep-out excursions, wellness retreats, fishing adventures, and helicopter flips to name a few.

Frenkel also highlighted upcoming developments, including the much-anticipated reopening of Xugana Island Lodge in April 2025. Following a complete rebuild, this enhancement underscores the company’s dedication to maintaining its exceptional safari offerings, not only in the World Heritage site of the Okavango Delta but across the Botswana circuit.

Since its establishment in 1982, Desert & Delta Safaris has been a leader in Botswana’s safari industry. The company prides itself on its locally managed lodges, offering guests unparalleled access to Botswana’s premier wildlife destinations and diverse ecosystems.
