Designer Journeys held its inaugural ‘Tailored Travel Awards’ to celebrate excellence among its ANZ travel advisors.
Melbourne-based Jamie Davison of Croydon Travel was named Designer Journeys’ Tailored Travel Agent of the Year, recognising his standing as one of ANZ’s most outstanding and experienced agents.
Carrie Walshe of The Travel Lounge in New Zealand received the Designer Journeys’ Tailored Travel Excellence Award, honouring her extraordinary commitment to crafting bespoke journeys for her clients.
The awards were presented by Designer Journeys CEO Matt McCann, during the company’s five-day recognition trip at The Ungasan Clifftop Resort in Bali.
“Jamie is one of the most experienced and respected tailored travel agents in Australia,” said McCann.
“What sets him apart is the depth of knowledge he brings to every itinerary and the trust his clients place in him — often returning to him for journey after journey. Croydon Travel is a benchmark for what great tailored travel looks like and Jamie thoroughly deserves to be named our inaugural ANZ Tailored Travel Agent of the Year.”
Davison said that he was incredible honoured to take home the title.
“Designing unique, bespoke travel experiences is my passion and this recognition means the world to me. A massive thank you to the team at Designer Journeys and their amazing global network of Local Designers.
“Most importantly, my incredible clients who trust me with their travel dreams. Here’s to many more extraordinary adventures,” he said.
Excellence in tailored travel
McCann also acknowledged Walshe’s contributions to the company, stating that she embodied everything the Tailored Travel Excellence Award stands for.
“The care and craft she pours into building extraordinary journeys for her clients is exceptional and across Australia and New Zealand we’re increasingly seeing agents like Carrie level up to design tailored experiences that exceed their clients’ expectations,” he said.
Walshe said that she was proud and grateful to receive the award.
“It has been such an incredible week getting spoilt in experiences and company in such a stunning location. Designer Journeys brings such agent and tech forward plans to the travel space. I’m so excited to see how this grows in 2026 & beyond.”
The awards were established to recognise advisors who exemplify the art of bespoke travel design, building deeply personalised itineraries that reflect their clients’ individual interests, pace and style.
