The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) welcomes Destination Wayfinder, powered by Miles Partnership, as an Ancillary Sponsor for the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) 2025.
The exchange will take place across 9–10 May at the Crowne Plaza, Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa.
Under the banner “Unity in Diversity: Exploring the Pacific’s Hidden Gems,” SPTE 2025 is the Pacific’s premier regional tourism event. It will bring together tourism operators, international buyers, national tourism organisations, and media representatives, creating a powerful platform to showcase the region’s most vibrant and authentic travel experiences.
SPTO CEO Christopher Cocker welcomed the partnership with Destination Wayfinder, a leading technology platform and framework for destination stewardship supporting economic, environmental, community, and cultural well-being.
“We’re excited to have Destination Wayfinder on board as an Ancillary Sponsor for SPTE 2025. Their innovative approach to enhancing both visitor and community engagement through an actionable framework delivered on proven technology aligns with our commitment to strengthening digital capabilities across the Pacific’s tourism sector.
“As the region continues its recovery, digital tools like Destination Wayfinder are vital for improving strategic destination planning, resident quality of life, and preservation of culture and ecosystems in even the most remote island destinations.”
Destination Wayfinder VP Kristin Dunne also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting their commitment to empowering destinations through intuitive digital tools that help turn concepts of stewardship into actionable strategies that create positive, lasting impacts for their communities and visitors alike.
“Destination Wayfinder is proud to support SPTE 2025 and help elevate the Pacific’s diverse offerings. We believe community, culture, and nature are at the heart of what makes destinations so remarkable and their offerings unique, and building more resilient destinations is of utmost importance in challenging environmental and socio-economic conditions.
“Finding a sustainable balance between community and visitor needs to ensure the protection of places for future generations is a shared goal of SPTO and Destination Wayfinder. We’re thrilled to partner with SPTO and support the Pacific’s journey toward recovery and greater digital transformation in tourism.”
SPTE 2025 is expected to host over 80 buyers and sellers from around the globe, offering unmatched opportunities to build partnerships, strengthen market presence, and tell the unique stories of the Pacific through a modern lens.
