DMC Quote, the travel technology brand of Singapore-headquartered Travel DMC Group, has launched a booking and ticketing system for attraction, tour and activity operators.
The platform lets operators enter their products once, then sell through their own booking page, at their physical counter or gate, and through the DMC Quote travel agent network.
It is designed for theme parks, zoos and aquariums, museums, water parks, observation decks, desert safari and day-tour companies, activity providers and transfer operators – particularly those still managing tickets on paper, confirming bookings through WhatsApp or tracking products and sales on spreadsheets.
Guests booking through an operator’s own page can pay online and receive a QR e-ticket. At the counter or gate, staff scan the code using a phone or tablet, after which the ticket is marked as used – each code can only be redeemed once.
The system also connects operators to the DMC Quote travel agent network. Approved agents can view an operator’s products and book at operator-set rates, with the operator notified of every booking.
“Operators have been sold dashboards for years, but what they actually need is buyers. Our system gives operators the tools to manage bookings and tickets, while also putting their products in front of travel agents who can sell them,” said Shiv Swaroop Arora, Director, DMC Quote.
No changes upfront
Operators with an existing website can add the booking system without changing their site design, allowing guests to book, pay and receive tickets without leaving it. Operators without a website can have DMC Quote build one under their own name, using photos and details submitted at onboarding, including logo, colours and products. Operators with their own domain can run the booking site on it.
Pricing is a one-time US$50 (AU$70) setup fee, followed by a flat 2 per cent booking fee on tickets sold, regardless of volume, with no monthly licence fee. Operators keep their own merchant account, with payment collection set up during onboarding, and all terms are confirmed in the operator agreement before going live.
Onboarding runs in four steps: creating the operator account, verifying business registration and licence, adding products via a guided wizard, and going live after approval. Product setup covers photos, descriptions, inclusions, operating days and times, and ticket types and rates, and can be saved and resumed.
Every account includes marketplace listing, agent portal distribution, a booking page, real-time inventory, capacity management, discounts and promo codes, bulk sales orders, QR ticket scanning, POS software, mobile POS, seat and venue management, merchandise management, email templates, standard reports, an analytics dashboard, account and user permissions, and standard and chat support. Google Things to Do integration, an add-ons builder and abandoned-cart email are coming soon.
